Potatoes are a great staple food high in energy giving complex carbohydrate, potassium, Vitamin C and natural soluble fiber to lower cholesterol.
Healthy way to cook potatoes is to bake, steam or boil the potatoes and to serve with low fat dressings rather than frying. Steaming is a great way to cook potatoes as it retains more Vitamin C than boiling.
