Macaroni Salad Recipe

MOM PETRIE'S MACARONI SALAD

Vegetable Recipe Ingredients:

DRESSING :-
1 egg
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. margarine
1 tbsp. yellow mustard
SALAD :-
2 c. uncooked macaroni, cooked, 4 c.
1 sm. jar chopped pimentos
1 c. finely sliced celery
1/2 c. finely chop

Cooking:

Slightly beat egg. Add sugar, flour, salt, milk and vinegar; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat and add 1 tablespoon margarine. Cool. (May add Miracle Whip if needed to extend dressing.) Add mustard. Combine salad ingredients (macaroni should be cool). Mix salad well with dressing and refrigerate before serving.
